Excited about the new Amazon Kindle iPhone App, I was looking to buy my first title and what more appropriate than Print is Dead by Jeff Gomez? And, like that, two seconds into my first Kindle purchase, I got pissed. $14.82 to make my eyes bleed? And it’s a slap in the face to see the hardcover go for less than $2 more (hardcover!) and even worse to see the paperback edition go cheaper! More than $3 cheaper! Hello? Jeff Bezos? This isn’t the way to get me to buy more books. Rather than printing, binding, jacketing, and mailing paper - this shit should be CHEAP.
UPDATE: I did test sending a free chapter to my iPhone - and it was seamless, easy, and fast (over EDGE). I’m digging it.
